Tristan started his career working on cult favourites such as Dead Man’s Shoes, Hot Fuzz, Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd and Valhalla Rising. He was also part of the Dr Who creature effects team between 2005-2007.   He has since worked on blockbuster films such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pt 1; The Dark Night Rises and World War Z .  

 

By 2014 Tristan was a key part of the make up and prosthetics team for THE REVENANT, creating the bear attack wounds for Leonardo DiCaprio for which the team received an Oscar nomination. 

 

Tristan was workshop supervisor for BGFX for season 6 of the groundbreaking GAME OF THRONES.  At the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards, Tristan was honoured for “Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series” for his contribution to the episode “The Door” .

 

As a prosthetics designer and supervisor, Tristan was the Prosthetics Makeup Designer for the award winning EX MACHINA and went on to supervise the prosthetics team for Alex Garland’s beautifully chilling ANNIHILATION.  This collaboration with Garland has continued through with the provocative Hulu series DEVS and most recently the truly terrifying MEN.

 

Tristan run the prosthetics department for the the horror inspired World War II action adventure OVERLORD, a JJ Abrams - Bad Robot production, directed by Julius Avery with whom he just completed Julius's latest movie THE POPES EXORCIST.

 

Tristan received acclaim for his work on the stunning World War I drama 1917, from director Sam Mendes. For this he garnered a BAFTA and an Oscar nomination for MakeUp and Hair in the 2020 awards season.

As well as film work, new online television series have added to his list of interesting credits. Including Tim Burtons WEDNESDAY Netflix series, THE PERIPHERAL from Amazon and the creators of Westward and the new exciting series from the creators of Game of Thrones, the sci fi show THREE BODY PROBLEM.
